Dean's Metalman series of basses are designed for one thing - metal. Its body features a visually stunning Z shape in a classic black finish, emphasising its metal silhouette and giving you a powerful stage presence. Despite its name and looks, the Z Metalman is designed with tone, sustain, and playability in mind.

Its body is crafted from basswood, giving you a light weight and a balanced tone. The neck features the classic C-shape profile, letting you hand move swiftly across the entire fingerboard. The Dean Z Bass is also equipped with high-quality hardware, keeping you strings and tuning stable while also enhancing the overall sustain.

Delivers Meaty Tones Ideal for Metal

To reflects its metal looks, the Dean Z Metalman Bass is equipped with a single DMT Design soapbar pickups to give it beautifully destructive tones. The soapbar pickup is great for delivering strong tones with plenty of crunch and meat. The DMT provides you with an incredibly beefy soundscape, with an advanced bass response and defined midrange.

With the soapbar placed at the bridge, your performance is injected with incredible warmth and depth for laying down thick, meaty bass lines. The DMT Design pickup also offers plenty of power and dynamics, letting you go from crisp cleans to saturated crunch.
